IATSE National Food Drive May 23 – June 9, 2017

2017 IATSE EVERY PLATEFULL CHALLENGE

Attention Members!

IATSE Local 411 is proud to announce, in conjunction with Food Banks Canada, that we are again this year taking part in Every Plate Full, a national food and fund-raising challenge open to locals and their members from May 23 – June 9, and taking place in more than 80 communities across Canada.

Our collective goal is to, with the help of all Canadian IATSE locals, provide the resources to supply over 300,000 meals to Canadians who will turn to food banks this summer.

In 2016 The Every Plate Full IATSE National Food Drive challenge that took place during the month of May and had a fundraising goal of 200,000 meals. The event was extremely successful and they actually raised 236,000 meals.

This is 3rd Annual national initiative between Food Banks Canada and a national union and it is an opportunity for the IATSE and our locals to really shine by raising our profile locally and nationally.

Local 411 has chosen to participate in this challenge again this year.

We will be accepting non-perishable Food Bank Donations at the union office until June 9th, 2016.

The campaign is accessible to all our members and permittees.  Just one dollar will provide 3 meals!  It’s so simple.  Just skipping that morning coffee will provide 3 meals to families in need.  Imagine what you can do for $10.00 or more?

Please do what you can to support this effort and encourage your fellow members to do the same!

Should you have any questions please contact 411 Operations Manager, Brenda Lee Cornish via email at: operationsmanager@iatse411.ca or at the union office at: 905-232-6411.

Simply put, let’s show that the members of IATSE Local 411 care! #IATSECARES

For the 2016 Food Drive, Local 411 was ranked 16 out of the 20 Locals that participated.

We raised just over $300 plus 140 pounds of non-perishable food donations.

Let’s try and double that this year…WITH YOUR SUPPORT WE CAN!
